Finding joy, contentment in life through God
Periodically, I run across a news article that is both humorous and sad. Yesterday, someone forwarded me one such article (thanks, Mom!). It was discussing the findings of a research study from the University of Vermont that tracked popular words used on Twitter. By using something called the mechanical Turk language assessment word list, they were able to determine certain towns or areas of the country that were “happiest” or “saddest” based upon how frequently certain words were used. According to the research results, two of the top five saddest towns in all of America are Shreveport and Monroe. That is remarkable to me! What isn’t surprising, however, is that there are so many people that choose to express their displeasure in a public forum.
