Santa Claus is coming to town

Everyone knows at least this tiny chunk of the poem written by Clement Clarke Moore in 1822. And most everyone can relate to the excitement of Christmas Eve and waiting for that “jolly old elf” to unload his bag of Christmas goodies. I can recall being told the story of Santa’s arrival in a number of my elementary schools classrooms, at the library and even at home. I remember daydreaming about what he would look like, if he really had reindeer and if they could really fly.

Fast forward to today. Does Santa exist?

I can’t say, and I’m pretty sure it isn’t even for me to decide.
