If you had the chance to read last week’s column you will know that there is a “ground swell” of support for a Grandparents Bill of Rights. We touched on several issues affecting us grandparents.
Soliciting some comments, I was pleasantly surprised with many received. Some of these had never occurred to me. Before sharing some, here is what we mentioned last Sunday.
In addition to the preamble stating our “rights” as grandparents, we should be allowed to visit when we wish without considering the schedules of the parents. (I trust that you know that this column is presented tongue-in-dentures, er uh, tongue-in-cheek.) We grandparents should not have to consider any inconvenience to the parents.
