New Living Word School of Ruston is closing in on the coveted 30-win plateau.

The Lions moved closed to that victory total earlier this week with an 81-53 rout over Lincoln Parish and District 1-C rival Dubach.

Now 28-9 on the season heading into a home game tonight against Castor, New Living Word featured four players in double figures for points in the win over the Hornets.

Tops on the Lions’ chart was Lee Mason with 17 points, Ty Mason and Xavious Williams with 16 points each and Javier Roper with 14 points.
