My friend Lisa gave me the most awesome book for Christmas. And its name says it all: “The Book of Awesome.” Well, it did until I read her inscription inside the cover —“Here’s to finding lots of AWESOME in 2013!” I don’t know about you, but I just like the sound of that. But then again, I just like the sound of that word —“awesome” just sounds awesome to me!
So as I started 2013 I placed this awesome book on my desk to remind myself daily of the awesomeness around me. After all, this book suggests that there are at least 14,001 things to be happy about even when things seem to be anything but awesome. I’ll bet if we each stop and think about it we could find even the smallest things in our everyday life that are grand, amazing, astounding, splendid and tremendous. In fact, we should truly be overwhelmed with the unsuspecting and simple awesomeness surrounding us.
