• Is it just me or does anybody play defense in football any more?

It sure seems that way and I’m speaking mainly about the college game. When I’m looking at the scoreboards, I find myself wondering whether I’m perusing results from the gridiron or basketball court.

Sixty-something to fifty-something, 40-something to 30-something.

I mean, in the good name of former Chicago Bears’ defensive coordinator Buddy Ryan, does anybody employ a feisty brand of “D” these days?
