Sophomore guard has 34 points to keep Tech streaking

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Louisiana Tech University (7-1) men’s basketball team fell behind early in the game 14-7, but the Bulldogs cruised to their seventh straight win behind guard Raheem Applebys’s career-high 34 points in an 86-68 final over Georgia State (3-4) on Friday night at the GSU Sports Arena.

GSU guard R.J. Hunter opened the game with seven of the Panthers first nine points. After the first media timeout was called with 13:29 to go in the first stanza, the Bulldogs erupted for a 34-16 run to close the half and take the lead going into the locker room 44-30.
