Grambling women win home opener
Grambling State trailed 63-62 with nine seconds left in the game before reserve sophomore guard Dayla Threatt sank a lay-up with four seconds to play to supply the win.
It was not only the home opener for Cage-Bibbs and her team, but also a victory that halted a six-game losing streak.
Grambling had played all six of its previous contests on the road.
“It was a great win for our team,” said Cage-Bibbs. “Our players battled until the end. It was a tremendous victory in our first home game of the season.”
