Tech can’t control San Jose State in WAC finale

Photo by TOM MORRIS/latechsportspix.com First-year running back Kenneth Dixon rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown on eight carries in Louisiana Tech University’s 52-43 Western Athletic Conference loss at San Jose State late Saturday night. The Strong, Ark., product registered rushing TD No. 27 on the season and leads the NCAA’s Football Bowl Subdivision in scoring.

Now it’s on to postseason play for Louisiana Tech University’s football program.
After a night of struggles on the West Coast Saturday night, that’s where the Bulldogs will now focus their efforts.

The regular season certainly didn’t finish in the manner that Tech had hoped for when the game against San Jose State (10-2, 5-1) at Spartans Stadium kicked off at 9:30 p.m., CDT.
Three turnovers in the second half and a night of inconsistency on defense helped send the Bulldogs (9-3, 4-2) to a 52-43 defeat.
