Blackmon, Liner wed in October
Brittany Blackmon, of Ruston, and Christopher Liner, of Ruston, exchanged vows in a 6 p.m. ceremony on Oct. 6 in Benton at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Mike Banda. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Judge Tom Bryson Jr.
The bride is the daughter of Dena Selmer, of Bossier City, and she is the granddaughter of the late Carol and Erik Selmer.
The groom is the son of Jeanine and Jim Liner, of Ruston, and he is the grandson of the late Jean and J.T. Liner and the late Sue and Weldon Walker.
The bride wore an ivory, modern, V-neck, A-line dress from J. Crew featuring spaghetti straps and a full skirt with inverted box pleats and shirring. A vintage ivory pearl comb was worn in place of a veil.
The bridal bouquet was handmade by the mother of the bride and featured fabric flowers in shades of ivory and was finished with braided ivory ribbon. A small photo of the bride's grandmother and grandfather adorned the bouquet in their memory.
Tiffany Otwell, sister of the bride, of Ruston, served as the matron of honor. Elyse Smith, Ginna Kavanaugh and Joanie Causey, all of Ruston, served as bridesmaids.
The groom’s brothers, Tim Liner, of Austin, Texas, and Jon Liner, of Ruston, served as best men. Rob McCaa, Branson Morris and Nick Jarmon, all of Ruston, served as groomsmen.
Prior to the ceremony, a rehearsal dinner was given on Oct. 5 at the home of Jeanine and Jim Liner.
Following the ceremony, a reception was also held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Mike Banda.
The reception was catered by Bountiful Foods Catering of Monroe.
Leading up to the ceremony, various parties were given in the couple’s honor.
On. Aug. 25 a miscellaneous shower was given at the home of Gwen Dingier and was hosted by Terrie Queen Autrey, Gwen Dingler, Marilyn Neaville, Kathy Packman, Karen Pittman and Debbie Waltz.
On Sept. 22, a couple’s shower, given at Sundown Tavern, was hosted by Tiffany Otwell, Ginna Kavanaugh, Joanie Causey and Elyse Smith.
Following a honeymoon to South Padre Island, Texas and the Austin City Limits Music Festival, the couple will reside in Ruston.
