Here are a few little known facts about the parks and facilities. The Ruston Municipal Pool was built by the Louisiana Works Progress Administration in the 1930s. It has had several renovations and upgrades since then. The current admission/dressing area was built in the 1970s and the filtration system was upgraded in 2002.
