Learn more about diabetes
According to the American Diabetes Association, approximately 79 million Americans are at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
Nearly 26 million Americans already have either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes in this country, and the ADA estimates that the total national cost of diagnosed diabetes in the U.S. is $174 billion.
It is estimated that one in three American adults will have diabetes in 2050 unless precautions are taken.
This is why the ADA has designated November as American Diabetes Month, set aside to help raise awareness of the disease.
