Alexandra Kogut had approximately one month to enjoy college before campus police found her beaten to death in her dorm room.

According to an ABC “Good Morning America” story, the 18-year-old freshman had been exchanging excited Tweets with her boyfriend, a 21-year-old attending a different college. The Tweets led up to a visit by the young man, who was arrested by the end of the weekend after allegedly admitting to killing Kogut.

One final Tweet, which has been the focus of much of the media discussion, was left on Kogut’s Twitter profile — “Should’ve known.”
