School board looks at vouchers, buses

The Lincoln Parish School Board will finally know how they have been affected by the Louisiana Scholarships for Educational Excellence Program this week.

A report from Superintendent Danny Bell on the matter is on the agenda for the regular 6 p.m. meeting on Tuesday.

School board employees had estimated a loss of $1,002,122 when initial approval for scholarships was given out. However, reports last month revealed that all students approved to attend New Living Word School, the only Lincoln Parish school approved to receive scholarship students, did not enroll there.
