Funeral services for Willie Fred “Bill” Colvin age 88, of Ruston will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Dr. Chris Craig
and Rev. Andy Johnson. Interment will follow at Unionville Cemetery in Unionville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.

Mr. Colvin was born January 28, 1924 and passed away September 16, 2012.

Mr. Colvin served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Scout Master for Troop 19, Boy Scouts of America in El Dorado, Arkansas and was a member of the Kiwanis Club. Mr. Colvin was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in El Dorado where he served as Sunday School Director and Deacon. He retired as a machinist from Monsanto Chemical with over 32 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ruston.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Stephens Colvin: sons: Fred Colvin of Austria and Stephen Scott Colvin of Ruston; daughter: Cathy Heilman of Hot Springs; brother: Thomas Colvin of Florida; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and numerous other family, and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
