KCS to enforce ‘no parking’ signs

“They had a truck that was delivering some items to the depot building, and it was unable to unload because of cars blocking its path,” Hawkins said. “They’ve asked us to let people know they were going to start towing vehicles that parked in the no parking area.”
KCS is expected to man the depot building on a daily basis once its use of the track picks up. Currently, there are about 18 trains that daily pass through Ruston.

According to officials with KCS, that number is expected to increase to about 30 a day in two months and to 50 a day within two years.
