Tech, GSU: Texas foes next

Bulldogs have Houston, Tigers face TCU Saturday
Photo by TOM MORRIS Senior wide receiver Quinton Patton will be helping lead Louisiana Tech University into a 2012 season opener at the University of Houston on Saturday night. The Bulldogs’ originally scheduled first game against Texas A&M was wiped out last week by Hurricane Isaac.

Lincoln Parish’s collegiate football programs have Texas-sized assignments on Saturday.
Louisiana Tech University and Grambling State University will go on the road to tangle with opponents from the Lone Star State.

The Bulldogs have a 7 p.m. duel at the University of Houston and the Tigers head to Fort Worth to take on Texas Christian University beginning at 6 p.m.

Tech will be kicking off its 2012 schedule a week later than scheduled, as Hurricane Isaac knocked out last Thursday’s planned meeting with Texas A&M at Shreveport’s Independence Stadium.
