Obama Administration officials visit university

Delta Regional Authority Federal Co-Chairman Christopher Masingill, left, and Acting Assistant Secretary of Commerce for the Economic Development Administration Matt Erskine were both a part of a roundtable discussion at Louisiana Tech on Thursday morning.

Thursday was a busy day at Louisiana Tech University. After receiving close to $1 million by winning the Rural Jobs and Innovation Accelerator Challenge, Tech officials got to know the groups responsible for their funding Thursday morning at University Hall when members of President Barack Obama’s administration came through to tour the campus and talk about the award, all while the college’s 307 summer graduates received their diplomas just a short walk away.
