RESOLUTION NO. 803 OF 2012
RESOLUTION DECLARING DAMAGED VEHICLES AS SCRAP
WHEREAS, the City has two (2) vehicles (the “Vehicles” or “Property”) that were damaged beyond repair in a fire that occurred in the Public Works Shop on or about December 21, 2011, and as such are deemed to only have value as scrap; and, WHEREAS, the Vehicles cannot be utilized by the City and are not needed for public purposes; and, WHEREAS, the Vehicles are currently situated at the Public Works Department at 701 E. Tennessee Avenue, Ruston, Louisiana; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RUSTON, LOUISIANA:
§1. The Vehicles are hereby declared to be no longer needed for public purposes.
§2. The following Vehicles are hereby declared as scrap:
(1) 1994 GMC TOPKICK VIN: 1GDM7H1J0RJ517918
MILEAGE: 173,693
(2) 2003 VOLVO AUTOCAR WX42 VIN: 5VCD36HEX3N194591
MILEAGE: 87,514
§3. The City Purchasing Agent is authorized and empowered to dispose of the Vehicles in any reasonable manner. The Purchasing Agent or the Mayor is authorized to sign any documents as may be required to dispose of the Vehicles.
§4. This Resolution shall become effective upon final adoption and signature of the Mayor.
This Resolution after having been read and considered on motion to adopt by Alderman Jedd Lewis, and seconded by Alderman Jim Pearce, a record vote was taken and the following result was had:

WHEREUPON, the presiding officer declared the above Resolution duly adopted in full on this the 6th day of August, 2012.
