High temperatures affect plant life
The hot topic in the region and I mean hot, is the weather. High temperatures and dry conditions are taking their toll on people, wildlife and plants. These conditions should be of no surprise to residents of north Louisiana. August is historically a very hot and dry month with the average daily high being 94 degrees and the average daily low dropping only to 71 degrees, resulting in an average daily temperature of 83 degrees. On average, one can expect 2.84 inches of rainfall during the month of August.
