Bulldog Aquatic Club Coach Paulette Crawford (left) will join swimmers Morgan Meyer (center) and Jackson Boersma on the 45-member Louisiana Zone Swimming Team this week in Rockwall, Texas. The two local swimmers qualified for the Zone meet with their performances recently at the Louisiana State Swimming Championships. The duo will compete against swimmers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. Crawford was selected for a second straight year to serve as one of the five coaches for the Louisiana Team.

NEW ORLEANS — The Bulldog Aquatic Club finished No. 11 in the 23-team Louisiana State Swimming Championships earlier this month and two of its members advanced to the Zone Swimming Championships this week in Texas based on their performance at state.
Fifteen-year-old Morgan Meyer and 12-year-old Jackson Boersma both grabbed firsts in the state meet and earned their way onto the 45-member Louisiana Zone Team, which competes Rockwall, Texas, against teams from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Vriginia, Texas and West Virginia. BAC swim coach Paulette Crawford was selected to serve as one of the five team coaches. It is her second year to receive the appointment.
