GRAMBLING — The town of Grambling will hold its Juneteenth Heritage Festival from June 15-19.

Juneteenth, also known as The Emancipation Day, is the oldest known celebration to honor the freedom of slaves in the United States since 1865.

Although Juneteenth is not recognized as a national holiday, people all over the country use this occasion as an opportunity to reflect on African-American heritage and rejoice with their love ones.
