Teachers named certified trainers
The national New Tech Network recently shared the announcement that the New Tech @ Ruston staff now includes three certified trainers.
Lindsay Bolton (English — global studies), Kim Goree (world geography — Global Studies) and Sarah Wages (Biology, NT@R teacher advocate) all received the stamp of approval from the national network following the successful completion of a rigorous process that began in summer 2011.
“We are thrilled with the evidence of growth that has occurred within these excellent teachers and the outstanding job they continue to do in facilitating project-based learning while supporting the unique culture of New Tech,” states Lee Fleming, director of New School Development for the New Tech Network. “We truly value self-reflection and the responses from these teachers were among the only ones in the pool of applicants that met each requested element exactly. It was stellar work, and we look forward to continued great things from Ruston.”
