Gulla, Fitzmorris wed in Virginia

Jacqueline Marie Gulla, of Sharon, Pa., and Joseph Patrick “J.P.” Fitzmorris, of Ruston, recently exchanged wedding vows in a 5 p.m. ceremony on February 18 at Hunt Club Farms in Virginia Beach, Va. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by U.S. Navy Chaplain Jeffrey Ross.

Jacqueline is the daughter of Gary Gulla of Hermitage, Pa. and Mary Ambrose of Mesa, Ariz. She is the granddaughter of Marian Gulla, of Hermitage, Pa., the late George Gulla and the late Mary and Max Tomczack.

J.P. is the son of Florence Fitzmorris, of Shreveport. He is the grandson of the late Florence and Jack Fitzmorris.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore a strapless, chapel length, A-line gown with lace appliqués on Valencia Organza and Point d’ Esprit. The gown featured a crumb catcher neckline and corset- style back with matching full-length, lace-edged veil. The bridal bouquet included blue and purple hydrangeas, dark purple tulips and purple and cream-edged calla lilies, secured with ivory ribbon and a golden memorial locket with photos of her grandparents.

Serving as matron of honor was Alexandra McGourty, of Jacksonville, Fla. Serving as bridesmaids were Kari Linke, of San Diego, Calif., Lindsay Amerault, of Jacksonville, Tiffany Green, of Cape Cora, Fla., Meghan Higgins, of Houston, Texas, and Christy Daly, of Toledo, Ohio.

The bridesmaids wore short, cotton sateen dresses in a beautiful latte color. Their ensemble was complemented with lavender pashminas and cowboy boots. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of blue and purple hydrangeas, tulips and lavender stock flowers.

Serving the groom as best men were Mark Graham and Jeff McGehee, both of Ruston. Serving as groomsmen were John Chris Allison, of Dallas, Texas, Judd Mahfouz, of Lake Charles, and Alan Cline, of Woodland Park, Colo.

Flower girls were Zoe Graham, of Ruston, Mia Graham, of Ruston, and Randi McGourty, of Jacksonville.

Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at Hunt Club Farms in Virginia Beach.
Prior to the wedding, on Feb. 17, Mark and Julie Graham, of Ruston, hosted a rehearsal dinner at Waterman’s in Virginia Beach.

On June 4, a crawfish boil was held in Norfolk, Va., to announce the couple’s engagement. The bridal party hosted the event.

On Oct. 15, a bridal shower brunch was held in Norfolk, Va. Hostesses were Alexandra McGourty, Kari Linke, Lindsay Amerault, Tiffany Green, Meghan Higgins and Christy Daly.
On Dec. 30, a couples' shower was held in Choudrant at the home of Ronny and Judy Graham. The gathering was hosted by Mark and Julie Graham, Ronny and Judy Graham, Norma Huston, Don and Carolyn McGehee and Jeff and Janie McGehee.

After a honeymoon to Williamsburg, Va., the couple will make their home in Norfolk, Va.
