Assessor answers questions about recent mailing
Louisiana law requires all parish assessors in the state to reassess all real estate subject to the ad valorem property tax at least once every four years, according to Lincoln Parish Assessor Pam Jones.
The year 2004 has been mandated by the state as the reassessment year in Louisiana, Jones said.
"In January of 2001, the Lincoln Parish Assessor's Office started gathering new information of all properties in Lincoln Parish," Jones said. "This information was used for the 2004 reassessment.
