LPSB OKs RHS bid
Residents will likely begin seeing work done on the two Ruston High School projects that were approved and funded with a 10-year millage extension in April 2011.
The board approved plans to tear down the existing agriculture building at Ruston High School, build a new one and then build a new building for the New Tech @ Ruston program last year.
In March, the bid for the two projects came back with $4,054,000 from Don M. Barron Contractor, Inc. as the low bidder. This number was much higher than the proposed budget of $3,415,000. Board members at that time asked Architect Mike Walpole to revise the plans in such a way as to bring the cost down.
