By now, the Lincoln Parish School Board has decided on a plan to send to the federal court to end racial imbalance in Ruston’s four elementary schools.

If things went as expected at last night’s meeting, the board picked the option that pairs Hillcrest with Ruston Elementary and Glen View with Cypress Springs, and that tweaks attendance zones just enough so as not to overcrowd existing buildings. Students would likely attend grades K-2 at one of partnered pair, and grades 3-5 at the other.
