Aldermen also OK new fire chief, city judge pay increase

GRAMBLING — The Town of Grambling may not have a facility to house stray dogs or cats in the municipal limits, but thanks to a new ordinance adopted Thursday night at the monthly town council meeting, they do have a place to put the animals they find in their limits.

In a unanimous vote, the Grambling aldermen voted to approve the establishment of a new animal ordinance in the town’s limits, which Mayor Edward Jones said will require Grambling to get help from the city of Ruston to deal with the strays.
