Play a role in deciding schools’ future
Tuesday night is slated to be a historic meeting of the Lincoln Parish School Board. During their 6 p.m. meeting at Ruston Junior High the board is expected to make a decision on what the four Ruston elementary schools will look like.
With that decision, they could finally shut the door on a 46-year-old desegregation case. Legal representation for the school board said the school system has been unofficially cleared on all counts except on the racial makeup of the elementary schools.
