Students spread joy to elderly
The students used the experiences as part of their healthy aging course and were able to get hands-on work as part of the class.
Stephanie Morris, management assistant at the Russ House, said the events were well-received by the residents.
“It’s such a big deal to get the (residents and students) to interact,” Morris said. “Most got involved with this, and it turned out well.”
Not only was it a good treat for the residents, but the students also benefited from being around the seniors.
