Public hearing set today
The Lincoln Parish School Board will hold a special-called meeting at 6 p.m. tonight in the Ruston High School auditorium.
The only item of business on the agenda is a public hearing to discuss the status of the desegregation litigation. This is in response to a status update on the original desegregation case filed in the 1960s. That report, filed in May 2011, revealed that three of the four Ruston district elementary schools had racially identifiable populations.
