Vitter named ‘Conservationist of the Year’
U.S. Sen. David Vitter was recently named the “Conservationist of the Year” by the Center for Coastal Conservation (CCC). CCC noted Vitter’s efforts on fighting for sound science for marine fisheries, his Billfish Conservation Act and Rigs to Reefs.
“Making sure our fisheries are properly managed will remain a priority, along with restoring the Gulf Coast,” Vitter said. “I live in the ‘Sportsman’s Paradise,’ it’s natural to support our close-knit relationship with the marine resources that make our state so great and unique.”
