Lincoln Parish voters expressed their beliefs regarding what is important in the community when they approved four tax proposals in last Saturday’s election.

Two property tax renewals to support the Lincoln Parish School Board passed by a large margin, with more than 70 percent of voters saying “yes” to the 10-year renewals.

Almost 68 percent of voters supported a 10-year property tax renewal to help fund the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office, and around 53 percent of voters said “yes” to a new, permanent quarter-cent sales tax to be used for the same purpose.
