Darts for DART at Dawg House
Every Wednesday night this month at the Dawg House Sports Grill, teams of dart players have been warming up for a big finale — the Darts for DART event, which is May 2, the night before the Domestic Abuse Resistance Team Radiothon.
“This year is the second annual year of what we hope will become a tradition,” said Cathy Ayo, DART’s executive director. “This event was one of the highlights of last year’s fundraising season.”
Once a year, DART holds its big fundraiser, the radiothon, at Super 1 Foods in Ruston. Prior to the actual 12-hour broadcast on the “Q,” 94.1 FM radio, various groups and individuals put together a series of smaller events leading up to Radiothon Day. One of the most popular fundraisers so far has been the Darts for DART contest at the Dawg House.
