Senior wide receiver Quinton Patton (4) made this grab during the first five minutes of Saturday’s “T-Day” spring game for Louisiana Tech University at Joe Aillet Stadium, where the White squad was a 54-25 winner.

Only minutes after Louisiana Tech University’s annual “T-Day” spring football game had concluded Saturday afternoon, Quinton Patton shouted, “BCS national championship, baby!”
The never-at-a-loss-for-words senior wide receiver was giddily making a reference to the Bulldogs’ hopes and dreams of reaching the ultimate game in the college ranks during the 2012 season.

Maybe that’s a stretch statement, but Patton and his teammates provided an indication that Tech shouldn’t be dismissed in the grand scheme of things this fall.
