The Lake D’Arbonne Lake Watershed District made a move during Monday’s monthly meeting to do its part to help and try to save the depleting Sparta Aquifer.

And Lake D’Arbonne could benefit from the plan as well.

Commissioners for the Lake Watershed District passed a motion authorizing President Noel James to “execute all instruments, including purchase agreements and acts of sale, related to the Water Project, and to execute any and all other documents necessary to complete said Water Project, and to execute any documents pursuant to such terms and conditions he shall deem advisable subject to the approval of the engineer of the board and the attorney for the board.”
