If only someone had told me
Face it; I’m a mess.
My blood pressure and sugar count is too high, but my good cholesterol is too low.
My vision has gone from 20/20, to both near-sighted and far-sighted.
I know when its cold not by checking the thermometer, but by the arthritis pain in my hands and knees; a heat rash lets me know when its hot.
I weigh too much and don’t sleep enough.
There are cadavers in better shape than me.
And Mom and Dad never gave me any warning.
Of course, I should have expected it. It’s not the first time they failed to warn me about certain pitfalls.
