Traveling the road back home
Let me explain. After leaving a restaurant in Bossier, we took East Texas Street through the core of the city to downtown Shreveport. Several places on that street filled me with such a sense of nostalgia that I decided my friends needed a tour.
“On your right is the Soap Opera where I did my laundry and got accosted by creeps.”
Next I pointed out the convenience store my mom, sisters and I got barbecue sandwiches every Tuesday one summer and the motel just up the street that was so “nice” that a trial is still ongoing, I think, about a murder that occurred there several years ago.
