“The weather service said up to four inches of rain could fall this weekend, creating possibly higher water levels on Lake D’Arbonne,” he said.

The additional rain could increase the lake level to more than 87 feet — over flood level.

Mark Smith, a spokesperson with the governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, said the location in the most danger from flooding is the area east of Louisiana 15 and south of Louisiana 2.
