Show raises funds to help save babies

The Ruston community did not have to watch “American Idol” or “The Voice” this week to see exciting, fresh talent competing for a grand prize.

The Ruston’s Got Talent show, held at the Trinity Center on Thursday, showcased a plentitude of skills with everything from baton twirling to a jazzy rendition of “Georgia on my Mind.”
“We are planning to do this every year to help raise money for the March of Dimes,” Cindy Hockenjos said. “On this event we cleared $1,332.10 and are still raising money for our family website.”
