Levy admonishes jury to do its job
Boy, was he mistaken.
The vice president selection did go smoothly. It took just one ballot to elect juror David Hammons to the second-in-command spot. But the presidential election was an entirely different story.
The first ballot saw two nominees — incumbent Eddie Allen and juror Jody Backus. Following a motion to cease the nomination, the 12-member jury cast its votes. The result, a 6-6 deadlock.
