Crashes cause injuries
Several people were injured in two separate incidents on Tuesday afternoon.
District Fire Chief Tommy Woods said the Ruston Fire Department responded to a four-car wreck on U.S. Highway 167 at approximately 3:38 p.m.
Lt. Tim Parker, public information officer for the Ruston Police Department, said three cars heading north were stopped at the red light at the intersection of U.S. 167 and Kentucky Avenue when a 2000 Chevy Tahoe driven by Hunter Sharp, 24, of Sterlington, also traveling north, allegedly failed to stop and hit the car in front of him. That impact reportedly caused the second car to be pushed into a third car, which pushed that car into a fourth car.
