Simsboro rolls taxes forward

Previously, Mayor Woodie Pritchett and the Board of Aldermen voted to roll the millage rate back to 4.57 mills and tabled the issue to get more information on how much money the village would receive at both rates.
After rolling the rates back forward, Pritchett said Simsboro would receive nearly $1,000 in additional revenue from its citizens.
Alderman Wayne Neuroth said he looked into the issue and found the average household would feel just $4-7 in additional tax burden.
