Habitat structure will include solar panels

Groundbreaking ceremonies will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday for the newest home to be built by the North Central Louisiana Habitat for Humanity chapter and Louisiana Tech University’s habiTECH program. The house will be located at 153 Pecan St. just off Water Tank Road. The groundbreaking is open to the public.

This is the 20th house the local Habitat chapter has built, and the seventh in partnership with Tech’s School of Architecture design-build studio class.
