GRAMBLING — In early September, anybody who predicted that Grambling State University would finish in the Top 10 of a national football poll would have earned a quizzical look.

And rightly so.

By end of that month, the Tigers had a disastrous 1-4 record and then started off October at 1-5.

Grambling State didn’t win a game until Oct. 15 when they blanked Concordia College 44-0 at Robinson Stadium.
