The Lincoln Parish Library is proud to exhibit the artwork of James Mitch Overby. The opening reception will be from 2-4 p.m. Jan. 22 in the Library Events Center.

Overby, a contemporary realist, began developing his artistic talent at an early age, sketching birds and natural interests. Growing up in North Louisiana, Overby developed a deep respect and appreciation for nature. He was influenced greatly by John James Audubon and the western artist, Charles Marion Russell. At the age of 11, he began lessons in oil painting, which remains his primary medium of choice. He went on to earn a BFA in Graphic Design at Louisiana Tech University.
