While many think of Christmas and New Year’s as a time of giving, the opposite has been true for the two universities located within the boundaries of Lincoln Parish.

Instead of spending the holidays worrying about gifts for their families or what their holiday plans were, administrators from both Grambling State University and Louisiana Tech University spent their Christmas breaks trying to crunch numbers on their budgets after the University of Louisiana System announced that each school would be facing a 5.01 percent budget reduction from the system.
