Graveside services for Mary Frances Norris Lott, age 95, of Ruston, LA will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 11 AM in Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. Rick Byargeon officiating. Mrs. Lott, 95 died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Ruston Nursing and Rehab in Ruston after a short illness.

Mrs. Lott was born on August 8, 1916 in Dubach but moved to Ruston with her family in 1922. She lived in Ruston all her life working as a secretary at Norris Laundry & Cleaners with her brothers, Elgin, Cecil, Homer and sister, Claudie B. Norris Rabb. After retiring from the cleaners, Mary Frances and her husband, Marcus, continued their hobby as avid antique collectors, primarily focusing on antique clocks. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marcus Lott; parents, Claude A. and Bessie Norris; three brothers, Elgin Norris, Homer Norris and Cecil Norris; four sisters, Paulyne Lain, Claudie B. Cargill, Sara Alice Norris, and Barbara Jo Amick, Mrs. Lott is survived by her son, Larry Lott, granddaughter, Michelle Lott, brother-in- law, Carl Amick of Longview, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to express special appreciation to Mary Frances' caregivers at Ruston Nursing and Rehab, Dr. Sheila Mariano and special friends, Mary Vidrine and Sharonda Wiley. The family requests that memorials be made to the charity of your choice. Pallbearers will be her nephews Jerry Norris, Gary Lain, David Cargill and Harold Naff.
