Memorial services for Steve Stricklen are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2011 at Greenville Oaks Church of Christ, 703 S. Greenville Avenue, Allen, Texas with Vance Reaves officiating.

Mr. Stricklen passed away at the age of 62 on December 27, 2011.

Henry Stephen Stricklen was born September 17, 1949 in Lexington, Mississippi. He had been a resident of McKinney, TX for four years, formerly living in Ruston, LA and Lubbock, TX. He was a member of Greenville Oaks Church of Christ and involved in children’s athletics for many years. He was Vice President of America First Insurance Group, and a certified CIC. He served as Past President of West Texas Field Agents, Cooper FFA, and Southwest Hunter Jumper Association, and also served on the Cooper ISD School Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Stricklen and Mable McDaniel Stricklen, and his mother-in-law, who was like his mother as well, Gladys Richardson.

Survivors include his wife, Tricia Stricklen of McKinney; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly & Jody Rood of Mechanicsville, VA, and Robyn & Randy Goode of McKinney; three brothers, Bill Stricklen of Idaho, David Stricklen of Lubbock, and James Stricklen of Fairfield; and five grandchildren, James Stricklen, Kaleb Rood, Sydney Rood, Seth Rood, and Grace Stricklen.
