La. Tech endures slashes
With news coming out Dec. 16 that Louisiana would be cutting another $50 million of funding from its public colleges to help balance the state’s budget, Louisiana Tech University is preparing to make a list of proposed cuts to meet the new budget criteria.
Tech, which had to cut approximately $642,000 from its budget during the 2010-11 fiscal year, faces a more daunting cut this year, with the state projected at cutting $2.15 million from the university. Each public university in the state is receiving a cut of 5.01 percent from their budget.
